An American blues rock and psychedelic rock band from the 1960's. Their biggest song by far is "Don't Bogart Me", weed music from the movie soundtrack,"Easy Rider". The band had members from such well known groups of their time,"Little Feat" and also "The Mothers of Invention". Ben creates great marijuana music and his drummer is an asset to his band . I find his music very entertaining . Makes me want to burn one as I stand . Nothing does it better than congos to add that certain touch to stoner rock . I can almost taste the pot wafting in the air in this great outdoor concert . Makes me want to jump off the stage into the crowd and get passed around like a fat joint . Here's a good marijuana song that made mainstream radio. I even heard it in the Philippines. I was going to buy it there , but then I got high. It's rare that a marijuana song becomes a hit on international radio but this one is too good . Makes me want to rollllllllllll another one just like the other one. from the movie Easy Rider ? Well , this one is right up there with the best of the best and we just had to include it in our " stoner video hit parade . " Kick back ...fire one up and get high , compliments of "Afroman ." 

Brewer and shipley had just one hit, but it's a dandy, went top ten in 1970. Mike Brewer and Tom Shipley were folk singers in Los Angeles when they came up with the weed smoking song "One Toke Over The Line". Brewer says of the weed song origin; We wrote that one night in the dressing room of a coffee house. They regrouped the next day and said "What was that we were messing with last night?" They remembered it and in about an hour they'd written "One Toke Over The Line".  Some radio stations refused to play the marijuana song because of the drug references, but not everyone got the meaning. It was a stoner song on the Lawrence Welk Show by a wholesome couple who didn't know what a toke was. Willie Hugh Nelson, born April 30, 1933 is a singer-song writer, author, poet, actor and activist. Nelson is co-chair of the National Oganization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) advisory board. On May 26, 2010, the associated press reported that Nelson had cut his long red braids off.
